Russia increases its consumption of dried fruits

Russia, one of the first importer countries of fresh fruit in the world, is a promising market for the sector of dried fruits.
Dried raisins and apricots are at the top of import. In 2009, the Russian consumption of raisins reached 69 000 tons, increasing by more than 3 000 tons in 2 years.

Consumption of dry apricots increased by more than 9 000 tons over the same period and reaches now 49 000 tons.

Dried plums and dates consumption (5 000 tons in 2008) reaches now 16 000 tons.
