US trying capture international markets for Iranian Pistachio

"As the world's economical crisis, the volume of commercial transactions of Iranian Pistachio has been reduced drastically and the selling price is going down steadily," said the secretary of the farmer house of the province Kerman.

"Pistachio markets have encountered recessions, while in past years we had Pistachio orders at the peak near Easter and January," added Seyyed Mohammad Mortazavi.

"Reduced cash flow in the international markets has caused the investors to lessen the risk of investment in commercial transactions," he added.

"Although the volume of Iranian Pistachio has reduced to less than 60 thousand tons from 250 thousand tons, because of recession in the international markets, America, which is Iran's rival, has reduced its Pistachio price in order to capture Iranian target markets," said Mortazavi.

"Pistachio price in Iranian domestic markets has reduced from 7 thousand 200 Tomans, in the beginning of harvest season, to 6 thousand 200 Tomans," he continued.
