UK: 40,000 tonnes of potatoes packed yearly

Dundee East MP Stewart Hosie visited The Co-operative Farms' Carnoustie packhouse on Friday to highlight the work of co-operatives as part of Co-operative's Fortnight.
The packhouse has been operating since 2007, which was when Co-operative Farms launched their 'Grown by us' range in which all produce is grown, produced and packed at a Co-operative Farm.

This makes it easier for people to check the provenance of their food as shoppers can identify which farms the produce has come from.
