Iran: 45 percent increase in apple production rate

"Exports of apple have been over 102 million Dollars in the past year which has had an increase by 45 percent," said the deputy of the organization for Iranian Trade Promotion.

"In the past year, 3 million 100 thousand Dollars of apple has been imported to the country due to consumer tastes," added Kiyoomarth Fathollah Kermanshahi.

"According to the rules and in order to support the rights of consumers, tariffs of imported apple will be reduced to 4 percent from the beginning of the month "Dey" until the end of the month Ordibehesht every year. During the rest of the months of the year, the tariffs of apple imports will be raised to 45 percent," he continued.
